Last Assignment

My name is Alexandre Martins, and I am a 16 years old student from Sao Paulo, Brazil. I've always enjoyed studying and learning new things, such as how stuff works or how could I improve my English... I am also very sociable and I appreciate meeting new people and making new friends, so I can learn about their cultures and countries.
I took part in a summer camp at CSUF, and I learned loads of new things that will help me in my future, most of them in the Academic Writing class, such as how to refer to sources correctly, by paraphrasing, summarizing or making a bibliography, and I also learned to synthesize sources and analyzing arguments too.
This is why I believe that CSUF is the right choice to my future, because I have all the requirements needed to take part of its courses and learn everything Cal State can teach me.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, also known as NASA, released this week a new panorama from Mars's territory, made by the only rover that's operating at the planet today, the golf-cart-sized, named as Opportunity.
Opportunity worked from December, 2011, to May, 2012, because of the Martian Summer, the only period of the year that rovers can work because of the heat on the planet, and during this time, it took more than 800 photos which were combined into a huge Hi-Def panorama from a huge crater known as Greeley Heaven.

Quote - As Pan(2012) highlights: "Video games make up a large industry in today's economy. The electronic arts industry is estimated to be worth over $50 billion worldwide"(p. 33).
Paraphrase - Pan says that a large part of the industry is made of video games today, and also, that EA Games is worth more than 50 billion dollars (p.33).
Summary: video games shape the industry today (Pan, 2012).

My name is Alexandre Martins and I'm 16 years old. I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I really enjoy studying and acquiring knowledge from other people, therefore, I am sociable and I try to get to know other people, so I can get closer to their culture.

The CSUF is exactly what I want for my future for many reasons, I think the most important one is that California is the best spot to get recognized by your work and efforts, since the Silicon Valley is located there, and as we know, that's where the world's biggest corporations are today.

The reason why I think I would be a good student at CSUF is my joy of learning new stuff, and interest on other culture.

I'm interested on marketing, because I want to be the responsible for the marketing area of an active company in the market, so, I need the best skills and abilities to get where I want, and I'm sure CSUF can take care of that.
